Warmest Welcome to Leonessa in Yarmouth Port. Not to be missed!
We made a first visit to Leonessa yesterday evening and thoroughly enjoyed the experience we had. What started off as a personal review for our guests, turned into a wonderful evening for us all round. We came away with a hugely positive impression in every respect.
The restaurant was vibrant, our surroundings contemporary, but beneath the sense of a slick professional operation, there was that all important cheerful and friendly feeling. The ambience was perfect. It was a Thursday night at the busiest hour and the place was packed to the rafters – news travels fast! The attentive staff coped well and were always on hand when needed.
For us, the menu had plenty of attractive choice. We shared two starters, the Marinated Zucchini (home grown)Crostini was beautifully crafted and delicious, the Truffled Polenta Fries yummy with an original twist. Helen’s Grilled Atlantic Salmon was mouth-watering and I savored every bite of my excellent Grilled Skirt Steak.
The wine cellar has been carefully thought out and is diverse enough to include a bottle of white from Santorini, Greece. There is a decent selection by the glass as well.
We rounded off our meal with the Valrhona and 2 spoons. All the desserts were very tempting and if our choice was any guide, beautifully crafted and presented. CANNOT WAIT TO GO BACK! Thank you Taylor, Diego and team, our gracious hosts. The Lion roars!
